Saturday 8 August 2009 - :

FINALLY! a free saturday. where i can stay at home. R&R :D
longlong weekend! yay!
haha. national celebrations went quite well yesterday. Tabootionary was tiring.
Everyone was shouting and hyperventilating over the game which made me lose about half my hearing yesterday so plz excuse me if I can't hear what people are saying.
Missed Chinese test last saturday due to rockamania intermediate qualifers so had made up yesterday.
Almost *emphasis* fell asleep during chinese paper, but my strong will to get the test over and done with had me finishing the test just in time. wohoo. historical moment in NOVIA's life.
UNBELIEVABLE. but my handwriting was crap. :X
hope the chinese teacher has super handwriting reading powers. *fingers crossed*
WAS and still am in a great mood. humongous burden lifted off my shoulders. :D

haha. went home around 4, no time to go out liao... half day wasted.
but i finally finished the book saving a fish from drowning by amy tan.
Phew. took me a year to finish that book. haha.
Almost late for karate.

I MADE IT IN TIME! :) muhahaha.
Training wasn't so tiring. (maybe becoz no lessons on fri = more energy left)
AND i was in a good mood. :D
maybe a crazy mood too. played taboo with Freda till 2 am. :D

Dragged my own lazy self out of bed at 9.
The only reason i woke up this early was because I WAS supposed to go to lihui's hse to do CI project. but ava phone spoiled and was uncontactable, so we postponed the meeting to tmrw instead.
Did about 30 mins of schoolwork, then went to lie on my bed and promptly fell asleep :X
haha. spent the other half of the afternoon on youtube watching retarded videos. listening to mr brown podcast. NO PORK AT ALL was pretty funny.
Random but Couple of epic things i did this week...
1) Went with kim and jordana to buy biz club shirt. the yellow vj shirt.
Suddenly,
Biz Club Guy: Novia!
Me: *super shocked face* (coz i didn't noe him at all.) stuns for a few seconds. then look at my uniform. never wear badge leh, so how the guy know my name?!
HOW YOU KNOW MY NAME? (evident shock in my voice)
Kim: NOVIA! (nudges me) *starts laughing*
Me: Huh? (still lost and confused)
Biz Club Guy: *starts laughing too*
Me: (still lost and confused and shocked) *weird expression on face*...
then....

then...
Enlightment dawned...
My name was on the foolscape paper facing the guy. :X

2) lihui, kim, me, jordana walking up the stairs to class from the 14 class that side...
trying to bang each other into stuff...
Me: (bangs lihui into the window, window pane falls off and shatters into two pieces.) >.<
*stuns for a few long long moments* ?!!! THE WINDOW PANE FELL OFF!
P.S. so sorry lihui! :X lihui had a slight cut on her arm. :( damnit. they should place watch out for falling glasses signs along the corridor.
LESSON LEARNT: Do not bang people into glass windows, wooden or metal windows would be much better. JUST KIDDING. (I'm deeply remorseful.)
On a side note: Me and lihui seem to have an affinity with the classroom windows in VJC. The last time we were caught for trying to take out the windows of the 11 classroom to crawl into class to get cloth, but was caught after removing one window pane... -.- Got reprimanded by Mr Seet.
Note to self: Stay away from glass windows in general.
Now for dinner.

HEEYYYAAA! I'm back! :D
ok at least for now.
oopsies sry for being too lazy and busy to update for the few... ok maybe not few but the past errr half a year? :X
heh. just bought 2! new laptops and some chui-ing from my sister and friends have gotten my lazy self to start blogging again.
thinking of changing the blogskin but yep! maybe wait till i have time on my hands.
(Currently, slacking the night off after yet another slack afternoon :( and after watching the pink panther 2)
Pink panther 2's a great show! haha hilariously funny! GO WATCH :D
and i still have one meet the spartans to finish too :S
ahhh... my life is busy!
and chemistry test's coming up! (barely started, the usually slacker me)
NOW some updates on the past months...
Jan & Feb: J1 orientation, was an OGL! FUN! :D the usual sea regatta stuff and mass dance at suntec :) had a great time with sub-OG cresonance
March: busy busy month, with loads and loads of commitments (rock-climbing, brief stint at track, piano lessons, short stint as drama crew, karate) insanely busy. don't know how i managed to survive that. plus house camp and rock camp during the march hols. and review tests before the march hols. :X which results turned out pretty BAD. BUT, still an improvement from last year's results. *a pat on the back there* :D ohyeah there were rock-climbing competitions and track meets that month too. Miracle surviving that mayhem.
April: Drama SYF (IP drama got SILVER! YEAH!), karate grading (which i failed my breaking coz the wooden blocks were too damn hard!), track nationals (seriously an experience i will never forget, just want to forget that nationals). yepyep a busy busy month for me too, chionging to karate lessons after school to practice for the grading.
May: House INVEST! (where the '08 batch passed out :( ), new aquila, '09 house comm, then there was pumpfest and NUS symposium where our geog essay was published! :D, ohoh and HOUSE COMM won music fest video! :)).
JUNE!: School hols was a busy busy one too. went for two camps and one conference.
Week 1: Rock-climbing handover at sentosa. Quite a flop and felt rather bad for the seniors :(. Farewell would be better! Treated coaches, Xiao Xian, Winfred, Aaron and Leonard to steamboat buffet dinner night before famine camp. haha. carbo-loading. :P FAMINE CAMP was damn fun! :D Starved for 30 hours! haha. unbelievable that i didn't faint from hunger or sth. haha. was dreaming of mcflurry during the camp. LOL! but it was meaningful. :D I LOST 1 KG during the camp! :D but shortly after gained it back from sushi buffet with cresonance and steamboat buffet with creon OGLS.
Week 2: Lihui's church camp at NUS Prince George Park, heard and learned about gospel. By coinidence, met VJ Click camp ppl there too. haha. Then went for playmax on friday with rock-climbers (unglam pictures on facebook) :X, haha FUN! and it was a very well organised event :D, played Wii! WHEE! :D Rockmaster on saturday, had a stomachache due to spoiled bread :(, performed poorly :(((!
Week 3: Model UN conference at ACS(I), super boring! But learnt quite a lot of global affairs stuff. :D had to buy working clothes, so spent like $100 on blouse, dress and shoes.
Week 4: HOMEWORK! haha. chionging to finish holiday homework. :P

OK now to go update my profile, brown belt to BLACK belt! :D

This hols is getting pretty damn busy for me. zzz.
haha. Have been going out practically everyday for the past two weeks ever since i've been back from new zealand and most of the time spent at home has been "wasted" on reading books! :D
Iowa chalet was fun though quite a few ppl didn't turn up.
Didn't stay over but escape and arcade was fun!
Been reading so many emo posts around.

yep we should all realise how lucky we are to be sitting here :D enjoying aircon or whatever, snacking on yummy and unhealthy snacks! Life's not a bedful of roses, has never been and will never be. So suck it up and enjoy urself. :P
Analogy: Its just like speeding in a sports car, driving towards a looming cliff, towards an inevitable death. So all you can do is just to enjoy the ride while you can!
Yep. That's my official motto in life. Enjoy while you can! (Though homework cannot be counted as enjoyable, but sadly it still has to be done.)
